The Giuffre-Menegotto-Pinto (MGMP) constitutive model [22] is employed to model the nonlinear uniaxial stress-strain behavior of the steel fibers. This material model is defined by four primary parameters (which will be considered unknown and estimated), corresponding to modulus of elasticity (Es), initial yield stress (fy), a parameter defining the curvature of the elastic to plastic transition during the first cycle (R0) and strain-hardening ratio (b) (see Fig. 24.3b).
